Conversations IN ENGLISH, SPANISH, AND ASL OVER A Lifetime
Okay, we’re taking a guess here, but in the 1980s Juanita lived in a Spanish-only household in Xalapa, Veracruz, Mexico and in the 1990s she learned ASL and volunteered in deaf organizations. Confident communicators never fear leaving their comfort zone.

Live Keynotes, Breakouts, Corporate Training Sessions, And Virtual Events
This is a conservative number. Juanita has been speaking and teaching since her time spent at General Motors and AT&T. In 2011 she began speaking across the country and averaging over 150 events per year. Wait, we didn’t include her first comedy routine on stage at the Punchline Theater in front of 200 peeps. Talk about leaving your comfort zone.

Cups Of Herbal Tea
A wild guess? Sure, but emergency tea bags hide out in her luggage and computer bags at all times, and, like any serious tea drinker, she travels with a portable electric kettle. She owns three.
About Me
Let me share a bit of my story with you, one that may be similar to yours in some ways—filled with ups and downs and plenty of learning moments along the way.
There was a time when I was the last one out of the office every night, always on my phone and constantly juggling work tasks. On paper, I was a top performer, but I was missing out on something crucial—time with my family. My wake-up call came decades ago during a simple, everyday conversation with my nine-year-old son. When I asked him what he wanted for his birthday, his reply stopped me in my tracks: “For you to turn your phone off.” That hit hard. It made me realize that my success was costing me precious moments with the people I loved most.
That day, I started to shift my focus. I began working not just harder but smarter. I developed a system that allowed me to achieve more by doing less, aligning my work with my personal life, and setting specific, achievable goals. This wasn’t an overnight change but a gradual transformation that helped me build a successful training and speaking business without sacrificing my well-being or family time.
My approach, which uses what I call the Get Sticky™ Mindset, is all about sticking to your goals while ensuring you don’t lose sight of what truly matters—your health, your joy, and your loved ones. It’s about making sure you can achieve your dreams without burning out.
My journey taught me that success isn’t just about reaching the top; it’s about enjoying the path you take to get there.
Frequently Asked Question
Yes. I provide both live and virtual workshop choices for each keynote and breakout presentation, and I’m excited to annouce the upcoming availability of online courses accessible through a dedicated learning management system.
No. For over a decade I’ve taught technology-related topics (i.e. ybersecurity, Digital Marketing, AI) and I still receive requests to speak on these topics. Please see my speaker kit for programs that can be customized for your organization.
No, however, my specific interests in this topic would relate to setting goals and the sales conversations and connections that need to occur during the sales cycle while you’re moving potential clients down the funnel. In short, it comes down to my two main “keynote” speaking categories: Communication and Goal Setting. I can recommend another speaker if you need something outside of these areas.
